Hero MotoCorp is all set to bring out the Hero Xpulse 210, a highly anticipated adventure bike that’s creating buzz ahead of its debut at EICMA 2024. This model is a major step up from the previous Xpulse 200, and riders can look forward to more power, better features, and enhanced performance, making it a strong competitor in the adventure bike scene.
The new 210cc liquid-cooled engine is one of the standout features. It’s likely based on the same engine found in Hero’s Karizma XMR, which is known for delivering 25.15 bhp and 20.4 Nm of torque. This engine is expected to offer a smoother and stronger ride, especially on highways, giving riders more confidence when tackling longer journeys. Compared to the Xpulse 200’s 200cc engine, which was oil-cooled, the new version has a clear advantage in terms of power and cooling efficiency. Plus, the upgrade to a 6-speed gearbox (from the previous 5-speed) will give riders better control and smoother transitions, especially when riding on mixed terrains
On the design front, Hero has kept the rugged, off-road look that made the Xpulse series popular but added some modern tweaks. The bike will feature telescopic front forks, a rear monoshock suspension, and wire-spoked wheels (21 inches at the front and 17 inches at the back), which will make it suitable for both city streets and rough off-road trails. This combination ensures that the bike handles well even on uneven surfaces, making it perfect for adventure rides. For those who love serious off-roading, Hero is likely to offer extras like a rally kit and adjustable suspension to push the bike’s capabilities even further
In terms of competition, the Xpulse 210 is set to take on bikes like the KTM 250 Adventure and the Suzuki V-Strom SX. Both are well-established adventure bikes, known for their off-road abilities. However, Hero aims to strike a balance between affordability and performance, making the Xpulse 210 an attractive option for riders looking for value without compromising on adventure
Hero is expected to launch the Xpulse 210 officially in early 2025, after its EICMA debut. Priced at around INR 1.9 lakhs, it looks like a strong contender in the adventure bike market, offering a great mix of urban practicality and off-road capability at a competitive price
Overall, the Hero Xpulse 210 seems like a versatile motorcycle that will appeal to riders who want a single bike for both city commutes and weekend adventures. With its improved engine, better suspension, and adventure-ready design, it’s shaping up to be a serious competitor in the growing adventure bike segment.
