Toyota Urban Cruiser EV Showcased | Another budget EV for INDIANS

Toyota has unveiled the production version of the Urban Cruiser EV, an all-electric SUV that shares its platform with the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara. This model is set to make its public debut at the 2025 Brussels Motor Show in January.

Design and Dimensions

The Urban Cruiser EV features a design inspired by Toyota's latest styling cues, including a 'hammerhead' front end that integrates the headlamps and DRLs. The side profile and rear design closely resemble the Suzuki e Vitara, with squared wheel arches and connected tail lamps. The SUV measures 4,285mm in length, 1,800mm in width, and 1,640mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,700mm.

The 61kWh battery offers both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive options. The front-wheel-drive variant produces 172bhp and 189Nm, while the all-wheel-drive version delivers 181bhp and 300Nm, thanks to an additional motor on the rear axle.

Expected Launch in India

While Toyota has not officially confirmed the launch date for the Indian market, the Urban Cruiser EV is expected to arrive in India in late 2025. It is anticipated to be produced at Suzuki's Gujarat facility, alongside the Maruti Suzuki e Vitara.
