2025 Honda CB650R and CBR650R with E-Clutch Launched in India: Price, Features, and Booking Details

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has introduced the 2025 CB650R and CBR650R in India, marking the debut of E-Clutch technology in the country. Priced at ₹9.60 lakh for the CB650R and ₹10.40 lakh for the CBR650R (ex-showroom, Delhi), bookings are now open at Honda BigWing dealerships nationwide, with deliveries set to commence by the end of May 2025.

E-Clutch Technology: A First in India

The standout feature of these models is Honda's revolutionary E-Clutch system. This technology allows riders to shift gears without using the clutch lever, enhancing convenience during starts, stops, and gear changes. It combines the control of a manual transmission with the ease of an automatic, making it ideal for both new and experienced riders.

Performance and Specifications

Both motorcycles are powered by a 649cc inline four-cylinder engine, delivering 70 kW (approximately 94 bhp) at 12,000 RPM and 63 Nm of torque at 9,500 RPM. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and features the E-Clutch system. Suspension duties are handled by Showa 41 mm USD forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking is managed by dual 310 mm front discs and a rear disc, equipped with dual-channel ABS.

Design and Features

CB650R: Embracing Honda’s Neo Sports Café design, the CB650R features a sculpted fuel tank, round LED headlamp, and an exposed steel frame. It comes equipped with a 5.0-inch TFT display supporting Honda RoadSync connectivity, allowing for smartphone integration. The CB650R is available in Candy Chromosphere Red and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic.

CBR650R: The CBR650R offers a racier, full-faired design with aerodynamic styling. It shares the same engine, gearbox, and chassis as the CB650R but adds Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC) for enhanced safety. Color options include Grand Prix Red and Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic.

Booking and Availability

Interested customers can book the 2025 CB650R and CBR650R at Honda BigWing dealerships across India or through the official BigWing website. Deliveries are scheduled to begin by the end of May 2025.

With the introduction of the E-Clutch system, Honda sets a new benchmark in the Indian premium motorcycle segment, offering a blend of performance, innovation, and rider-friendly technology.
